THE STAR TUGS ON TOUR

AT THE DIDCOT RAILWAY CENTRE, OXFORDSHIRE!

On June 25th/26th 2016, we made our return to Didcot Railway Centre, this time as one of the key attractions.

In a change from the previous year we downsized the display and set up shop in the broad gauge transfer shed. A selection of the models were on display and we enjoyed a lovely display in the midst of steam engines, sunshine and lots and lots of lovely visitors!

One of our more unusual set up locations, in the historic broad gauge transfer shed along with this beauty! Note the headboard!

The broad gauge carriages themselves became part of the display! Providing some safety and display for the models!

Billy might seem angry, but this was actually a great time where we were able to try on his other face masks, owned by a friend of the exhibition

This was Boomer's first venture out on tour since his triumphant return to the fold, his restoration holding up nicely!

The Transfer shed provided a unique and memorable atmosphere, the coaches really providing a great display.

We had on display more of our other props, including wooden masters for the hats of the various tugs!

Visitors enjoyed lovely train rides and were greeted on the platform by the tugs!

Ten Cents really enjoyed himself as this was his last scheduled tour appearance for over a year so he could look after the exhibition!

We returned to Didcot in 2017, check the event page for more details!

We'd like to thank everyone from the centre for their incredible hospitality and to the hundreds of people who joined us that weekend.

WHEN WILL WE BE BACK?
